Not sure if this is correct but it seems that Danny Simmonds has signed for Hastings.

If we meet Hastings in a Cup game then it is possible that we'll see Simmonds again.

I'll miss his full blooded challenges in midfield and his heading prowess....lol I'm surprised it has taken to this late stage in the season for G n N to work out that he didn't commit himself. Someone mentioned that he isn't a contracted player. If this is true, it means he was free to move and thereby release some £ I thought that he was one of the anointed one's, so I am a little shocked at this news.

Gone to Ashford Town and not Hastings. Perhaps he can turn their season around.

Sorry about the first posting, they say you should never beleive all you read in the press ? (Even the Non-League) one. I think the rest of the posting is correct.

No great loss for either us or Hastings, sounds like money may have played a part in his decision to swap clubs. Playing for a struggling team will see how much he wants to play.

Wouldn't have thought a struggling side would suit him - always had him down for a very talented luxury type player.

What a disaster! Ashford go down 7-0 Not the best start for our old boys. The Ashford keeper was injured and Stuart Playford went in goal (It was 4-0 at the time) Not looking good for Ashford's chance of beating the drop!

Feel sorry for Stuart. I always admired his ' blood and guts' style of defending, and was sorry to see him leave us.

Danny has served the Borough well over the past few years and it is odd not to see him on the teamsheet.
I do feel a jot disappointed at the tone of some of the postings who cannot appreciate the service players have given the club even if they have not been so effective this season.
Some of us value the contribution you have made to our club and wish you well for the future.

Where has this appeared from? All previous entries were in the spring of 2006. As far as I know Danny Simmons will be with Eastbourne Town when they start their Rymans League adventure.
