Yes ebcfc1 - you are quite right -it was given out on the PA today a few times.
It starts at 7.30pm and entrance is the same as for reserve matches i.e. £3, £2 and £1 with it being free for Season Ticket holders,
It will be interesting to see Rambo and Rhys Whyborne back at Priory Lane. I notice that Marc Whiteman and Seb Barton were on their bench today and also Ben White. Surely not the Ben White who played a few games for us a few seasons back?
This game will give Borough a chance to give the fringe players a game and the Iceman will probably start for the first time. As Andy Ballard wasn't in the Hastings team today we obviously wisely refused them permission to have him cup-tied as he may well be needed when we enter the FA cup in the 4th Qualifying Round in October.
Should be an interesting game.

Yes should be interesting, friendly or not this is a local derby. If it were me though I would not be playing Baker or Pullen .We are a bit thin at CB and we don't want any silly injuries. To be honest I would be trying to avoid playing any of the starting line up from yesterday!!!
If it's a good entertaining game with a few goals and no injuries everyone is going to be saying it was a good run out for the team/subs. If we pick up any injuries it will be an unnecessary disaster.

Whats the point of it. Are there not enough fixtures in the season? Surely we are just running the risk of more injuries with a needless and pointless game.

Weeli, I think the purpose is to give those players who are currently getting 10 or 12 minutes football a week plus those returning from injury a game together.
Realistically it would be better for us to have league matches on these early autumn evenings when the weather is ok and the pitches are still good. Free weeks now mean congested fixtures at the end of the season.
Plus of course with Borough exempt from cup competitions until later there are no weekday replay dates required.
This will give players like Chris Winterton a game. It will be interesting to see if Andy Ballard plays, and if he does for which team?
