Taking all the positives from the game, based on the upbeat reports given above, I think that we can't deny that we are basing the strength of our Defence around the ability and presence of Marc Pullen. Without him as our rock in the middle at the back we, with the added contribution of fatigue, folded in against a fitter side in the last 20 minutes. This is exactly what Matt Tubbs - Salisbury City, said at the end of the Play Off Final on Setanta. HE said that those sides with some full timers or all full timers can literally steal the game in the final 20 - 15 minutes. This appears to be the case against Oxford. I think that we need a like for like Centre Half back up for Marc Pullen / Darren Baker. Ben Austin is a right back and not a centre half, same goes for Jay Lovett who can play at Left Back but prefers right midfield, and certainly is no centre half. I hope that Boro Committee can see that we have the potential, no doubt, of staying up, but we do need further investment to reinforce. I hope that Hailsham Roadway may be able to help the Club to achieve this??

I agree with Vern about our back four and echo his hopes that we look to strengthen is this area.We were talking about this pre season as we felt we needed more.Lets wait and see,we could always off load a player or two

We spent a lot of money on Simon Wormull, thougt he was what you were after Vern. Strange you have not mentioned him! I would have thought the management would sort it without you asking Hailsham Roadway!
Casting that to oneside I have to agree that we have made some strange decisions, but the management do say they are on a learning curve. Lets hope it curves up! My MOM was Tait and Yemi for Oxford.
