Does anyone know if the crowd will be segregated on Saturday? Also which teams are likely to bring down the most away supporters during the season?

Blimey - 3rd round already. Who did we beat in the early rounds?
Having looked at the Rusden fans forum, they seem to be estimating between 150-200 coming on Saturday, which will create a good atmosphere, but probably, I guess, wont require strict segregation of fans.

Just trying to clarify this but is there an away end and which is it please? I can't see any details on your offy site, but it is a good idea to segregate at this level.

I hope that we go through the season without having to instigate any segregation. I have heard that there are very few away fans that warrant segregation and fingers crossed that will be the case... I like it when you can walk around to swap ends at half time....

I like it when you can walk around to swap ends at half time.... i hate to rain on your parade but i reckon segrgation will be in force for 90% of your games. i went to 62/63 games last season and we only werent segregated in 3 games: Farsley away: Att: 474 (45 away) Droylsden away: Att: (60 away) Bamber Bridge (FAT) Att: 330 (60 away) and we were segregated in much fewer away attendaces Weymouth away: Att: 1252 (away 35) Stafford away: Att436 (away 54) York away Att2044 (away 58) Grays away Att:542 (away25) Ive found from talking to stewerds at various clubs that the police advise segregation of away attendances over 100 and/or ex league clubs. I will be very very supprised if we arent segregated on Sat. p.s good luck for the season and i honestly belive you have the potential to stay up and then some.

ure away support doesn't sound to healthy for a club of that size Our fans are as fickle as anyone else's. Some of those were 6 hour round trips in midweek and since we fell out of the Footy League it's a tough financial decision to make, not forgetting we were lower mid table as well. We took 500ish to Histon and Cambridge.

Shame if we do segregate 2ofdiamonds - what made Blue Square South such an enjoyable afternoon/evening out was spotting the away group and having a good chat with them; you know the kind of thing - how was the journey, do they need somewhere to eat after, hope they enjoy the day etc etc (and, most important, make sure they ask for plenty of body in the tea or they will get.......). There was usually handshakes before they left and that was after we won most of the home games. I will miss that side of it but I guess thats "progress".

I was under the impression that it was a league rule. But apparently not. I hope we not segregated. I also like to chat to other fans. We are a friendly club and thats what non league footy is all about. Sorry Maz. But i dont remember any teams bringing 200 away fans to the lane. Lewes being the exception. I think 200 away fans for this league is quite good. I will be delighted if we take 200 fans to every game.
