i was reading a article in the non league paper about tv taking over the blue square premier.
with the game agianst steveange being moved for tv purposes.
does anyone think tv is taking over non league ??

Top flight soccer was ruined years ago by televsion rights... It is now creeping down to Blue Sq level... The money will be useful but as long as we dont end up like Lewes having games moved to thursdays!!!

IMO TV is now taking a big foothole in non-league football. Given the past exploits of lower league clubs in the FA Cup with national tv coverage, it's little wonder most Blue SQ clubs welcome the extra finance generated by tv companies such as Setanta. I just hope some finance can filter down to clubs at all levels of non league footie and help the development of clubs that need it.
