I feel I have to say G&N got it wrong last night.
They should have mixed the team up better and not put most of the new players into the second half. It was not fair on our old players.
It would have been far more sensible to and mix the team up with new and old.
It was ridiculous to play the second half with mainly new players and the old ones out of position.
As for the performance, frankly we got what we deserved. Maybe that's what they wanted! It was beyond comprehension. IMO.

So what time will the bar be open, or closed? Looks like rain is expected!

More sensible for who? Unlike some, Do you think G & N really cared about the score. It was only a run out for the lads. Did it really matter at this stage who played where or who won, I don't think MOST people really take matches that seriously this time of the year.

I don't think Town thought it was just a fitness execise do you! It was more than that and we let our players down that played in the second half. Personally I got the impression that all the local players played in the first half and all the long distance travellers played in the second! It was not a good evening to watch, whatever the reasons thought up after the match! IMO.

[be]You have to take all matches seriously at this level, we are about to take on teams that play for a living and they will not be mucking about. [/be]

We certainly need sterner matches for preseason. The second half was not a joke, although everybody seemed to think it was. We are in business of playing football and we are one of a few part time clubs, so we have to take it seriously. A full time player protecting his income would destroy some of the lads I saw playing.
