Ps anyone got on any update on the rumour that Hooky has an injury? Yeah, I heard that he'd hurt an arm. Hooky has a well paid print job, shift work seems to be the norm apparently, and I guess may find it challenging; as will Darren Baker who is also in the Print industry, to get to every game? They must have some very understanding work mates who take their Saturday / Tuesday shifts. We'll have to see whether CW fits the bill in the pre season games. I'd think that the Eastbourne Town game will be his first team outing - someone on here said that he lives in or near Eastbourne.

Can anyone say 'what hurt an arm' actually means?!! I hurt my arm the other day but I'm fine now!! Does anyone know if the injury is one that would keep Hooky out of the friendlies/start of season?

good point jk,also what does a 'well paid print job' actually mean vern? I guess my point is that he travels a mind boggling distance; esp for the home games, over a season, you've got to respect him for that. Sorry, on rereading the thread it's irrelevant. I was on auto pilot recollecting a chat with one of the player's dad's about how tough the BSP will be for them and he said that he's got a really good job; I read that as meaning that he's paid well, it's a vague recollection, I'm not repeating exactly what I heard. But, I believe that in the squad - Lee Hook and Darren Baker work as "printers" in some capacity - I think Lee is a pre - press setter?? Well what ever it is, I think that it involves shift work, which means days and nights, which could make it even tougher for them than last season, as we are in a national league rather than a regional one. Obviously it will mean even more sacrifice from them! phew...

I'm assuming if Hooky has 'hurt his arm' then it could have an impact on his day job which is more important than football because as we all know football at this level won't pay the bills forever.
