Eastbourne is certainly an up and coming town with sport especially in focus. With Boro's promotion, our town will feature every week on TV in the national footie results plus a guaranteed live match next season on Setanta. We also have a quality Elite League Speedway team with live matches shown occasionally on Sky. We've just had the end of a very successful Tennis Championship at Devonshire Park, including 3 days live TV coverage on BBC2 and global coverage on Eurosport. Eastbourne, among other attributes, have the famous Beachy Head & South Downs, been used for film settings and TV adverts, renowned for having the most annual Sunshine in UK plus a Blue Flag Beach award. There will be some larger UK coastal towns that would enjoy having our facilities and publicity.

What a cracking post, all that remains now is for the town to get behind the Boro either by coming to watch or sponsorship or both. I think its up to all of us to spread the word at home an mates, through work or any other opportunity we have. There does seem to be an increased interest season tickets and sponsorship indicate that. What would be good would be if we could get the really big one but then Mr Hutchinson might come up with that given his track record.
