I don't know about anyone else but I think the music the players come out sounds really cheesy and must amuse the opposition players and fans really as it sounds like it should belong in the fair ground on the merry go round ! I have found the perfect song for borough to come out to and will really help the players get phyched up for the game and it is either Darude- Sandstorm or Rob Dougan - clubbed to death!! these songs are perfect build up songs and would really help the players feel in the zone! and both build up to crescendos

Whilst I agree that " Sussex by the Sea " is a tad cheesy I am not convinced that the senior members of the fan base would be happy with some modern grunge!!!.....

If they downloaded the tune from the web, they would get a better version played by a decent brass band. I reckon the problem is the poor recording. I got a better one using limewire!

Fanfair for the common man? Maybe for you, but we just need to sort out our PA. Not the most important issue at the moment. What about "I am a mole and I live in a hole" We need something that is light and gets the crowd applauding. I suppose we have to have a licence to play it as well? I'm for keeping what has been good todate, if not get the Horsham brass band to jazz it up a bit. It's a local tune played by a local band, why change it? As for it helping the players, I doubt if they even hear it, they are to keyed up to start the game.

Have a care you pimplies - Sussex By The Sea is the national anthem for us who are not so short in the tooth. I have the words here if you would like to ramp up the decibels a bit. 1500 of us may even put that blasted drum in its place!

Ok firstly its not modern grunge! it's club music which is known to be great to get people in the mood for things watch this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMq4akUZr8c from about 25 seconds in and imagine the borough players walking out to a roaring crowd!!OR IF YOU WANTED SOMETHING THAT THE FANS WOULD SING ALONG TO-- I'm not even joking this song would be so perfect to get the north stand going --http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLNtxBEWeus, it's obviusly what middlesborough come out to --http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BaXkoO1FHY&feature=related

I love that song! ;D and I also think it would have a rousing affect on players, more of an affect than Sussex by the Sea anyway! I like to watch abit of cricket as well as football and when I go to see Sussex play at Hove, they also play Sussex by the Sea, which is fine for a cricket match, as it's a more relaxed and dare I say it, a more sophisticated atmosphere(and with that, it also can be abit of a non-existant atmosphere) apart from Twenty20 matches! But it's really not very suitable for a football club in my opinion.

If we had the first tune you mentioned in your recent post eastbourneyouth, do you think our players would be able to run as fast as the guy in the video. If they did it would have to be a surefire certainty.
Not so keen on the second one - a bit repetitive.

I'm with Vern on this one (Fanfair for the common man), Players come onto the pitch after the first 4 bars, the keep it going for about 2 minutes, blood curdling stuff!!!!
I'v heard this played at a couple of grounds, but can't remember which ones???
Anyway this one gets my vote (for what it's worth)

They have stopped one of them, just get the remarks below. duh duh duh duh, deon burton, duh duh duh duh, deon burton, duh duh duh duh, deon burton.....
I am would be happy if the system worked properly, to keep it as it is, but the drummer needs to be sorted out. sometimes he is not bad, but most of the time its terrible! To carry on in this manner would be underwhelming! Anybody play the trumpet!

Anyone know who has the final say as to what is played? Personally I wouldn't change it although a bit clearer would be nice. Common folks, it is the 'anthem of Sussex'. I would change the music after a goal is scored though, don't ask me to what though!

I think the committee decide. Personally i would like to hear something a little more fiesty, as i think 'Sussex by the sea' sounds a bit dated, dont get me wrong i dont mind it but i just think it's time for a change!
