Why don't we have a supporters team. I think it would be great. We could play other teams supporters And also we could have a sponsored match so we could raise some money for the club.

I could come out of retirement and ref. . . however with my current large spare tyre and dodgy fitness levels I'd need a motorised buggy and paramedics nearby ;D

There was a very short-lived supporters five-a-side team which I was invited to organise for a tournament at Lewes in 2005. JK from this forum was captain but we only won one of our five games and were knocked out in the group stages!

Indeed Andrew! I do however remember coming up against some quality performers and we did ourselves proud! I think I scored as well that day! It was a proud moment being given the armband by you!!

I remember as well that in one of the games we came up against a couple of Lewes 1st teamers and our 1 handed goalie kept them at bay until about 45 seconds from the end !!!.
Still our early demise meant more time in the beer tent and Mr Raeburn even got to ref a game !! (His reffing wasn't much better than his playing LOL)

Thats a great idea. but it should only be open to people who go home and away every game not these 3 or 4 game a season fans.

All you need is a swivel chair on the centre spot and just go round and round watching play... Its easy... Hang on, maybe thats what we need in BSP next year... lets face it, cant be doing with another season of inept refs!!
