There is talk on the Lewes forum that the fans want him back, but one of their fans has spoken to Jay and he has said he is happy with us. I'm pleased as Jay has been superb for us. He has kept injury free and played in a variety of positions and not let us down. He seems to enjoy his footy with us, has a good rapport with the fans and is a top bloke. Hope is one of the many that do continue to play for us next season.

The close season will be fascinating. Although I hope that some player's remain, I do think that to survive our current team may not have enough next season. I'm sure that some player's jobs / careers will dictate that they call it quits anyway. I can't imagine all will be able to do a trip to Barrow or York City and so on on a Tuesday night?? I would think that the team will keep a spine that is recognisable but that is all IMO. The squad must be bigger too....46 games in the season plus up to 4 - 5 cups to participate in!!

so who do you think that recognisable spine will be? Scott Ramsay; he said he'd like the challenge in the local paper recently. Nathan Crabb, Allan Tait, Andy Atkin. MAtt Smart? got sales job with a lot of travelling, so not sure. Paul Armstrong, got a Sparky's job so may be available. Kember, if kept on? Budd, if kept on? Heard that Pullen may not be able to commit time. Can't remember where I heard that. Ben Austin is a Teacher at a local sussex school. It depends on how understading his employer is and whether his back is up to it. Baker - a printer?? So it depends on understanding employer and shifts. I guess the same can be said for Hooky who has a well paid print setters job, I was told, so he may not be able to commit. Complete guess work?? Also depends whether GnN see the above being part of 2008 - 2009, only they know. I also thought that Garry had a well paid and demanding job, so would he really want to become a full time manager, as this must be what is the next demand of BSP. All the newspaper quotes sound very positive that he is planning for BSP next season, so it is a real mystery and it is early days. Expect nothing and everything and then it is impossible to be disappointed Nathan Crabb and Andy Atkin I would say are dead cert's, everyone else, search me?? not much of a spine; more like a few vertebrae

The one i would love to see stay and start each game is Adam Wilde.... He has the experience and has been a very patient absentee most of this campaign!!
