Well
This is my list of players who i thinkare good enough for BSP
Lee Hook , Darren Baker , Marc Pullan , JayLovett, Ben Austin , Paul Armstrong , Matt Smart , Robbie Kember , Andy Atkin , Matt Crabb , Nathan Crabb , Pat Harding , Jenko.
I would like to sign some players from higher leaguesand not just County League But its the money.
What About signing some players that have been released ? Lee Blackburn was released from Crawley This week i think he would be a decent Add to the Squad.
And we could do with a decent Back Up Keeper.
Chris Winterton from Brighton He was released this week aswell.

i beleive that yu should let them carry on partying for now they have done very well to get up into this league and theese players deserve a chance in this league (BSP) but i also agree with ebfc1 that them two players could be great for us.

Gary and Nick have some difficult decisions to make. I presume that a budget to allow for promotion was decided prior to the end of the season. To my mind there are a number of things to consider including the age of players, their ability or willingness to commit to the time needed to mount and sustain a successful season. To my mind one of the reasons the team have done so well is the very strong team spirit. An influx of new players more committed to a wage than the club may well not be the answer. What do others think?

After Watching The game on seatnta on thursday both teams played good Football They Were Both oustanding the one i did notice the most was that lad in goal Lee Hook - Borough Keeper. An excellent shot stopper who is brilliant at kicking straight when wearing (No4) Matt Smart's boots We've got a great team, but with no individual flair, but that's what got us into the BSP. When we had Yemi Odubade, flair player, the ball was always kicked long to him to run at Oppo goal. Much like the ball hoofed to Yaku by Hampto & Richmonds keeper Lovett. It didn't work for them, as it ended up not working for us. Hence Yemi off up and away to Oxford Utd.

please no more lower division players If you'd said that a few years ago, Boro would not have had Andy Atkin and his 30 goals, or Nathan Crabb and his play-off final goal, or Pat Harding and his 14 goals last season and 9 goals this season, or...

G and N have a knack of finding quality without breaking the bank... Be interesting to see if Ross stays on dual with Crowboro???

Yes, many good lower division club players have proven their opportunity and selection to shine at a higher level. IMO how far they climb the ladder depends on various factors, i.e. ability, desire, coaching standards, and a willingness to accept criticism and learn.

What is needed is a good mixture of experienced players with BSP-level games under their belt, hopeful Young Guns who want to prove themselves, and long-term Boro loyalists who seem to regularly confound the critics by playing above their obvious ability. In other words, the squad we currently have, plus the normal close-season signings that we make. There are certain positions that do need to be filled - a quality stand-in keeper and someone in midfield with more flair and the ability to create chances for the strikers from nothing, as against the simple sheer hard work and guts that have charactarised our midfield for the past few seasons, but if we could guarantee no serious injuries or daft red cards (yes, Andy, I am looking at you!), then I think we would be quite capable of acheiving a safe mid-table position with our current squad. Being realistic, I have to accept that we will be losing crucial players at awkward time - such is football - and we do need better cover for several positions. We will also, no doubt, lose players who either cannot, or prefer not to, commit the extra time needed for the BSP. And there will, probably, be players who won't be able to compete at the higher level. No idea who they will be, but it is a fact of life that some players will look like they should be playing a division or two higher when in the BS South, but look like they should be a division or two lower when they are actually there! For my part, I would agree that Chris Winterton and Lee Blackburn would be great additions to the squad, if we could afford them and if they wanted to come, but my first choice would be to get Jamie Day back from Grays (if that is where he is now) - I thought that he slotted beautifully into the midfield and gave us an extra dimension there that could be vital in the BSP. Well, first choice would John Terry, but he probably ain't available!
