Borough striker poised for surprise comeback By Steve Hollis Comment
Allan Tait has given Eastbourne Borough a massive boost ahead of the promotion play-offs.
The former Crawley striker has made a remarkable recovery from an ankle injury which threatened to rule him out for the rest of the season.
Tait has been sidelined since being stretchered off during the disastrous 2-2 draw with Weston-super-Mare last month but is back in contention for tomorrow's final league game at Braintree on Saturday.
Matt Smart and Marc Pullan may also be involved for the first time since picking up injuries in the same game while Ben Austin is back from a two game ban after being sent off against Weston. Andy Atkin serves the final game of his three-match ban while Robbie Kember injured an ankle in training on Tuesday and is a doubt for Tuesday's play-off semi-final first leg. Ross Treleaven, Wes Tate and Wayne Clarke will not be involved as they are playing for Crowborough.
Wilson said: "Allan, Matt and Marc all have a chance of playing and that is good news because they need a run out before the play-offs. It also means we can rest a few players ahead of Tuesday but we've got to get the balance right as we want to go into the play-offs on the back of a good result."
This is certainly good news. ;D

Yep, good. Just hope he Matt Smart and Marc Pullan come through Braintree game ok. I think all are essential for play offs. Understand why GW has said they should have game but always a worry!

The game at Braintree is an ideal run out with nothing at stake... Better than any training session as being played under match conditions... Be good to see al the returning injured get thru this saturday giving us options for those play offs

Well i hope he has improved because he was woeful the last few games he played after his last injury.. Absolute rubbish. You cant blame a player for injuries sustained due to a poor pitch. Tait is one of our best players and deserved support. All of our players have worked hard this season, some are technically better than others. He is one of the better ones. Just watch the way he passes the ball. Not many of our players can match him. Even Vern has got behind him this year, especially after the end of last season.

rhambo07, If you expect 120% after injury, your expecting toooo much. Last night he was getting back to the man we new last year, Strange forum this, when rambo gets a goal its all praise, when others score its just routine, are you pretending to be a relative or what? Well done Tait, keep up the good work. Preserve energy when you can! play intelligently. What is jojjed!! a new word. eney comment!? At 15years old you should be ashamed of your spelling! I can understand Anything being mispelt, but please try better as it lets the level of our forum down.
