True. We're not getting thrashed. Usually just losing buy a solitary goal. A real concern is only 3 goals in 6 games.. suffice to say that creating chances is one thing, but if we cannot capitalise on those chances and be ruthless in front of goal we won't be making great strides.

One thing I will say, with the extra money we have now why we are being so tight on players and not wanting to sign players who ask for more money. They want more money because they know their value. If this kit sponsor is 5x bigger than any sponsorship done at this level as stated at the supporter meeting, then why are we penny pinching on players who aren’t experienced, aren’t good enough, injury prone, or just related to the owner.

I think leslie has the idea in his head that he's going to win the league against all odds. By believing

They have to look for value when recruiting because even if this sponsor deal is 10x others in the league we would surely be losing money. Crowds of just over 1000 and a full time squad and coaches. The last thing we can complain about is penny pinching

Everyone decent has gone to other clubs as we didn’t want players who said “they can get £50 more a week up the road”

Certainly makes it more difficult. Some loan signings from the leagues above would not be impossible though. Be interesting to see if they take that route or try and find a more permanent solution.

I found the £50 comment a bit strange too to be honest. There's a cost of living crisis at the moment, your mortgage payments may have gone through the roof if you hadn't fixed it. Along with increases in pretty much everything. Sometimes it isn't as straightforward as "greed" and more trying to get what you need to sustain your family.. If you can command more, why wouldn't you ask for it and make your life a little easier? Obviously I don't know what was actually said, but did find this a bit odd.

He should score if presented with some of the chances we've had, as witnessed last time he was here. Would be happy to see him back.

he was a bit brainless at times but 12 goals is great and we only had him until January.

I didn’t particularly rate Hutchinson but he did still score a few. I think the £50 comment was simply trying to put across the message to other clubs that we are not mega rich over spenders
