So here I was waiting for some signings and we have a new club crest.. Ermm, I'm not sure about it.. maybe it's a grower??

He is back now, was at the club yesterday with the Mayor of Eastbourne giving outwards to the Borough walking football team. Shouldn’t stop the manager signing players anyway even if he is away.

Boro website says a new home shirt to be unveiled next week.
Is it still Bexhill Academy sponsoring the shirt?

Supporters who purchased shirts last season are not going to be pleased if they only had
a few weeks of wear.

It will be interesting to see if brand new scarfs and other memorabilia are changed.

Love the new badge. Would also love a blue home kit but this wouldn’t be a popular move for many!

MB said he has inherited 9 already contracted players and mentioned the number 16 as if it was a squad size so at least 7 signings required. He also said he was on the phone into the small hours talking to agents and players so I dont think he is doing nothing.
Can anyone remind me who is still on contract and I wonder if all of them can go full time.
Like wtd I will have to see if the new logo looks better in reality and in time !

Surely if they are under contract till end of 23/24 season they are retained.
I seem to remember that Remy Gravata and Perez signed afresh but not sure of the other 6. Who can help here.

How many players that were already retained is irrelevant if they can’t or don’t want to go full time. Fast front foot football won’t be appealing to any player over 30.

I’d expect us to have a young squad this season. I can’t see us signing anyone over 30 unless they really carry some decent pedigree and a lot of experience at higher levels

Simon Leslie interview going live at 10am this morning… this will be intersting.

Having slept on it, i’m not sure the badge is quite as bad as people are claiming.. I’ll admit, I’m not yet sure on the colour, but it’s still in keeping with the club’s history, having retained the martello tower (the style is a matter of taste). At least we haven’t been taken over by Red Bull and become completely unidentifiable.. Leipzig, Salzburg, New York.. spot the difference??

Also, going on Simon Leslie’s interview the club are clearly in negotiation with various players. So, as frustrating as it is not to have heard anything yet, we’ll hear of new players soon.. a complete restructure would always be accompanied by a more complex summer break and we can’t make a direct comparison to other clubs in the league who aren’t undergoing the same changes.

Sounds very positive news from both Simon & Mark . Club has been very busy this week with players being interviewed etc . Exciting times watch this space !
