While we wait for the club to announce the new owner, I thought it might be interesting to hear what people might like to see at the club? (a chance to make a wish!)
I understand the new owner is considering subbing the current 3G pitch out for a hybrid, but keeping the existing surface as a training pitch? I think also some of the terracing could be improved (parts of the North Stand spring to mind - it can also be a bit of a bottleneck in places), and maybe the terracing behind the goal at the River End could be enlarged at some point when the need arises?
On the playing side, I don't feel an awful lot needs to be done. We've got a good strong core to the team. We've only suffered in recent years due to relying a bit too much on loanees (Hutchinson this season for example). I feel it might only take a couple of extra faces in the squad to avoid those "lean" months, where we've had loanees depart and maybe a few have picked up injuries.
Without having the first idea how much it costs to run a football club (well, apart from it being expensive), it'll be interesting to see what happens!

An absolute must for me is a striker who will bag us 20+ goals, if we have some more financial backing now, this should be achievable? Tidying up the defence to bring the goals conceded down is also important if we are to have a successful season next campaign. 2-3 marquee signings to push up to that next level would be great! Maybe a younger keeper also? The stadium as a whole could do with some touching up, but I wouldn’t say anything drastically needs improving yet. The new pitch sounds like a great idea and definitely shows the ambition the new owner and board are envisioning. It’s my view that the new pitch + laying the (training) pitch outside the ground could be the first step in beginning a transition to full time side (could be way off the mark with this one) Better social media output to draw in new fans especially during the colder months when crowds drop slightly, it would be good to try keep those numbers up for additional revenue so we don’t have to rely on the new owner too much on that side. Minor tweaks to the catering side inside the ground would be good as well and of course an extra beer tap at the bar inside the ground would be lovely

New seating in the stand is a must as they are very uncomfortable/broke - I also fear for my car in the massive potholes in the carpark - some tarmac would be welcome On the playing side I totally agree with the BoroLad above and................Dargiles to become more optimistic

So lesboro you think I'm not optimistic well you are completely wrong just ask questions which are related to the new owner if the club knows let us loyal supporters know

Think you will find that the car park area has received some remedial work already Payed for with a contribution from the Supporters Club
The work was carried out at cost by Hailsham Roadways, so thanks to Kevin Fry.
Many of the above suggestions are already in the pipeline.
In answer to W the D it costs around the 1/4 million to run the team at this level, hopefully the new owner can double this amount, if he can we will be able to match the big boys in our league.
Fingers crossed we will know soon.

I hope Mr Bloor is taking note of the players other clubs in our league are signing ?? Very very concerning. Could be an embarrassing season if we don’t strengthen… once other clubs get wind of what’s going on here, there’s going to be a lot of focus on us and if we don’t match or better last season then it could make us the laughing stock

Why is our governing body so reluctant to keep the supporters informed they should try reading none leauge on line the number of of clubs are always giving the community information not only to there supporters but too the general public they obviously they don't believe in secret service

I Know nothing but is it not usual that if an experienced business man/company buys a Majority share holding they do not expect or desire a Minority share holder to be able to tell them what to do !! This appears to be the limitation that the well meaning CIC status puts on the club.

To be fair, we know very little of what is happening behind closed doors, so it’s hard to say who is being unreasonable and who isn’t.
Extra investment is exciting, but I wouldn’t bet the house on it and for all we know maybe the existing hierarchy are seeking these assurances..
Apart from watching a few videos I know absolutely nothing about the character of the assumed new owner and the most important thing to me is that this club exists in 10-20 years time. It’s hard for me, personally, to know what to think at this moment in time until we find out more.

Unless they get this sorted soon we are going to be in deep trouble on the field, no retained list and no new players I don't think Blackmore and and Co will ever give,up their empire

I guess it depends on what role they will have, if any under the new owner, and how much money they will make if any, from the takeover
