The Herald website is reporting that Liam Baitup, Peter Featherstone and Kyle Holford have all signed for Eastbourne Town - presumably ending their nomadic dual-registered treks across the county!

Peter Featherstone - I'm very glad to see he has joint us properly rather than contiuing the dual registration, did well for Town last year! Liam Baitup - Very good player, looks to havea good future, looking forward to see Liam playing in a town shirt Kyle Holford - I do not know much about the player but hard he played for Borough reserves last season anyone tell me more about him? ??

Although unlike a handful of Town fans who seem to bear a grudge in Borough's direction (see the 'other' forum), as someone who has covered all of the local sides for the paper over the last few years, I'm all for seeing Town - and indeed United and Hailsham - do well. County League football is inevitably overshadowed by the fact that very few teams in the top division can realistically break out of the league. Town may well be able to challenge for Ryman football in the not too distant future.
I can imagine Borough fans might be disappointed to see Baitup leave as he is a talented lad but perhaps Borough's first team are playing at a level too high for him to break into at the moment. If he was unsettled too at being loaned out to virtually every local club going I wouldn't blame him! Ady is right in the fact that he needs to settle down into regular senior football and accept that the County League is his natural home for the time being. I wouldn't be surprised to see him - like Nima Cham before him - move on from that level though.
Featherstone is also another good player, who will do really well for Town, particularly alongside Baitup. I haven't seen enough of Holford to judge him yet.

Baitup is a good player and will do well at town i think it was best for him to move away from borough becuase it would be very hard for him be even to be an opportunity to proove himself, feathers was superb for us last year so hope he can continue his form onto the season upcoming!

On another note, there are a number of local County League players who continually impress me when I see them (albeit I didn't catch much football down here last season). Without wishing to 'big up' my scouting abilities a couple have indeed gone on to bigger things (Yemi, Leon Legge, Andy Atkin, Nima Cham) but why not someone like Ashley Jarvis at Hailsham, who always seems a class act to me.
