OK I'll start the thread! Thought we were a bit overconfident in first half thinking we will beat an under strength Ricay and we came a cropper (thought Franco not at his best and unnecessarily clumsy on the Pen) Second half they did not know how to play at PL with the wind and so we had even more possession and with Whelps coming alive and Hammond back we looked comfortable in the end. Have to be tighter than this on Sat at St Albans. Well done in the end boys as I should say the wind must have been unhelpful.

The elements played their part, but I agree - we probably had the wrong mental approach in the first half, despite having most of the possession. Vastly improved in the second half. Billericay played as though they had nothing to lose and full credit to them.. at one point I thought it just wouldn’t be our day when the ball, bouncing around in their box, somehow managed to find it’s way into their keepers grateful hands. It took until the 78th minute to mount the comeback and then the floodgates opened and we scored two more in quick succession. Glad to pick up the 3 points, but enough for Danny to consider in preparation for St Albans, think we’ll need a more complete performance than that.

Chris Whelpdale has the best minutes per goal stats in the National League South. Strikers like that that worth their weight in gold. One man doesn’t make a team of course but I’m very glad we’ve got him

Totally agree with the above - one critisism Kev - your commentary, stop asking the opposing team to get one back to 'make the last 15 mins more interesting' as my ticker can't handle it !! Seriously though enjoyed the commentary when I could hear it through your chattering teeth !! 3rd place - who would have thought it, please keep it going until we can get back Well done all
