Shame Greg Luer was injured so not playing otherwise everyone could have blamed the defeat on him as usual.

Luer at his best is a very good player, but most of the time he's a liability. If Bloor has all these contacts why are in so much trouble? Howell was a liabilty, but at least his teams tried to play decent football, our current lot is just kick and rush. Our current form does not say much for Torres influence either. Not really looking forward to going over the Lane at thee moment.

Why in your opinion is Greg Luer a liability?

Have you played the game at any level? There is nothing more frustrating than having players in your team who have more butter than bread. Luer can be great to watch, but does not recognise when to shoot or when to pass to a better placed team mate. I thought that he would be deadly in a lower league, but then watched him against Roffey and Uckfield and they sussed him out pretty quickly, don't attempt to get close to him as he'll be past you in a shot, just jockey him and wait for the thingy up which is most cases he duly obliged. These were players who you will find playing on the local recreation ground on Sunday mornings!

If thatโs your appreciation of what he brings to the team I feel sorry for you. You are obviously a far better judge of player than Steve Bruce or Mike Phelan who were his managers at Hull City. Obviously the managers who had him on the bench in the premier league and played him in the championship didnโt know what they were doing. I often wonder why people like you who moan all the time bother to go to games.

Just watched the highlights on the Vanerama web site and as I believe Ian Gayle wears the no. 20 shirt I think you should watch it and see if you agree with me that he put in 3 very week attempts to clear on goals 1 2 and 4 and was out of position for the cross pass on goal 3. So not KKJ which was all rubbish talk earlier. We had several attempts on goal but 18 goals from 22 league games (lowest in Div) clearly shows what is needed up front.Give Gayle a rest for next game and play back 4 of Many and KKJ plus our 2 fullbacks and maybe 5 man midfield with Charlie running his socks off up front.

When he was at Burgess Hill he played right wing, left wing, central striker and as a number 10. Not only did he score goals, he also set up his team mates by passing them the ball.

If Luer is such a great player, why has he had so many clubs? Why is he playing in the NFLS? Why is he not playing in the EFL? Of course he'll score goals at lower levels, but the physicality at higher levels is too much for him. That's why he been let go so many times. Oh! I know, I've forgotten all I know about football. Silly me!

You are spot on boroughgunner, in some ways if we are going to lose then it's better for our survival to lose to teams chasing promotion. WE must beat the team s around us. Like Welling today!
