Well after a win at home last night, not one comment on here...... Yes it was Roffey, yes we were expected to win but.... Does Danny getting a winning start with Sergio really not warrant at least acknowledging ?
Not a great 1st half but lots of chances and good movement... 2nd half we put the foot down and saw our way through with 4 well taken goals. Credit to Roffey for giving us a game....
Nice to see a few younger lads getting minutes on the pitch too with Dan Blackmore and Tyler Pearson back in red.....

Enjoyable game I do like a midweek game under the lights could of been a lot more if it wasn’t for some fine goalkeeping from the roffey keeper anyone know when the draw is for the next round wouldn’t mind a trip away to Crawley

I thought that Blackmore had a very good game and would warrant at least a place on the bench well done Roffey good luck in your leauge for the rest of the season

Yes, I enjoyed the game and was impressed by the way Roffey were defensively organised and the way they put their bodies on the line to prevent Borough getting a hatful of goals. It did highlight the major problem that we have had since losing Romain last season. We play some lovely football very good one/two touch stuff, but we can't score goals. If we are to survive at this level we need to find a 20 goals a season striker. Walker is our main striker, played nearly 40 games and only scored 11 goals! That tell us something; AND only scored 4 against a team just out of park football. We must have had at least 20 good chances and probably at least 8 cert's. Our new manager showed us the he could shout at least. Could not see any particular shape to our team. Roffey only had two attacks in the first half and nearly scored from both and our defenders were nowhere! Why Torres was not on the bench I don't know. If he is not going to be a starter then he needs games like this to keep sharp; AND despite being 38 he is still one our best midfielders. Certainly better than West or Cox who were dreadful against Roffey. Players of their ability should have been running amok against player of this level.

We are lead to believe that our new manager has good contacts he will have if we are to survive at this level it about time Cox started earning his wages

It wasn’t that long ago we were playing the likes of Arundel and Little Common in the SSC and spanking them 7 and 8-0. Just shows how far we’ve sunk. We’ve appointed a manager who has done nothing where ever he’s been. If we can only beat s team 4 leagues below us, team who have lost 7 out of 10 matches this season and conceded nearly 30 goals then the rest of the season is going to be a struggle. Fans have a lot of respect for Sergio and Scott, but the other one is the most ridiculous appointment ever. It is hoped attendances will reach around 800, yeah dream on.

A chance for Roffey to show what they can do! A chance for Eastbourne to rest players that need a rest, game time for players that need it! Only scored 4, let’s start the New Manager out, campaign!

The worst appointment the club has made failed at every club I notice Mr King has already Motivated Dartford and is saying Romain led the line well on Tuesday at Hampton just shows what good manager can get out of a player

Anyone out there that thinks Kingy can only be successful with money should read his interview on Kentonline. There’s very little money there and he’s got to sell to buy.

To be fair to the Sports we should have had 9 or 10. It just goes to highlight the fact that we do not have a 20 goals per season striker. Neither does it look like we will sign one if there's no money. LB know the NFL inside out and he couldn't sign one. Does our new manager who seems to have no pedigree for this level. I should mention that with Cox and West in the team we only had 9 men.

I take it Cox and West didn’t have good games. As I didn’t go I’m relying on other people’s observations

You would expect two guys who have been full time players in the EFL, one would think that they should run riot against such opposition. Cox didn't seem that bothered and his radar was well off. West was working hard, but I think he thought we were playing in blue the amount of times he gave possession away. Not sure about Blackmore he wasn't put under any pressure. He is composed, but not sure he's quick enough for the NFLS. Pearson? No! He's a decent honest county level player.

Smudge perhaps you would prefer him at Dartford instead of Mr King??? To be fair, mate, the shoots of recovery were there before Mr King walked through the door. The squad Dartford have and the position they were in, was down to injuries and cliques in the dressing room and certain players virtually downing tools. The management duo went and all of a sudden, certain players were world beaters under Tony Burman. Still have a horrendous injury list SK has brought in players, Jordan Gibbons, Mark was with at QPR, good right back at this level that will run up and down all day, finding his fitness after being a free agent. Right back had been an issue with Wynters injury. Personally I’d take Tobi over either of them. Romain is an asset to any team in this league, doesn’t take a genius to work that out. Don’t suppose that kinda goal scoring threat comes cheaply but probably offset by Burman getting shot of Cunnington. Ky Marsh-Brown quality winger but again neither a secret or a cheap option I would imagine. Considering we are setting up quite a narrow 4-3-3 and we already have 3 wingers at the club a luxury signing? Liam Gordon, left back on loan from Daggers, I’ve never personally come across but is far too good for this league. Great signing, I’ll give SK that one Back to the management team you’ve got in place... Whilst I get the underwhelmed reaction, I think you have to give it a chance before condemning it. I personally think (and I’ve never been wrong before ) that DB is the right man to take the pressure off of Sergio and together it could be a master stroke! But as I said in another thread, I don’t know if it will work, but neither do you! Give it 20 games, then decide! 4 zip regardless of the opposition ain’t a bad start!

Forgot to add, as I’m sure I’ve said before, I like Blackmore, I think he is the next break through player from the youngers. Haven’t really seen enough of Tyler to form an opinion, one way or T’other.

Note that Roffey lost 5-1 on Saturday to Southwick who were just one place above them. Hartley Wintney took us to a replay couple of seasons ago. I understand that Westfield are a well run club with a very solid team. Who ever it's not going to be a walkover.
