Poor showing apart from some nice touches in first half. Braintree exposed our flanks with us playing 3 at the back.Great third goal but apart from that defensive mistakes contributed to final result. Attack very ineffective. Just one or two chances. Reminded me of the showing at Lewes. Liked the team acknowledging the fans who travelled but apart from James Ferry playing well in first half an afternoon to forget. At least not 7.0 this time.

Lately we’ve played 5 at the back and have been fairly solid so why change to 3 at the back ?

One win (tonbridge)in our first 5 games is not good enough and to lose 5-0 to a team that are happy to stay up this year, what is going on that’s not acceptable weather it’s 5.3.2 or 3.5.2 it does not matter you can’t be losing 5-0 to an Average team

We are not playing as a team with a forward line which cannot put two passes together it the same type of play we had last season where is the promise play to excite as promised before the season started

The problem is we have two strikers who have not been prolific in the last few seasons. Elliott has struggled to score regularly since he left us for Dagenham. If Greg was banging them in regularly for Woking he probably would still be there. Not giving up on them just yet but we need to bounce back against Dulwich.

No the problem is we are s..t at the back like I said we let nearly 60/70 goals last season and we still have 2 of the back four from last season, it’s been a problem for a number of seasons now

Perhaps the fullbacks shouldn’t venture beyond the half way line then they wouldn’t leave so much space behind them.

There is that but also the two center backs ain’t good enough nearly a £1000 a wk for our 2center backs,we are not getting our moneys worth

I agree,I could tell you that aswell 😉but I was just saying at the moment with a much improved budget we are no where near it,like I said yesterday you might get that kind of result against one of the top teams but not Braintree mid table team at best, let’s see what lee has to say about yesterday’s Performance

The impression from the Maidstone game is we defended well but the truth was they didn’t have any first choice strikers on the pitch. With two promotions and two relegations in four seasons I did wonder which LB we would be getting. I guess time will tell.

I agree golfer ,with the big increased budget fan base is static we really needed to be getting off to a flyer to get the town to Believe in the football club again but I can’t see us getting more than around 500 ish people through the gate for most of the season, if not less if we could get in the top 5 at some point we may get another couple of hundred people on the gate, which can only help with the budget god only knows how we are going to afford this budget for the whole season

It could be a blip of course the best of teams have a few bloopers each season. I would imagine that whatever our current player budget is, then on the players that have been signed too date they are only good enough to keep us in this division. Mid table would be an achievement. Yes of course the players signed are half decent, but they are only here because' no other club at this level wants them. Romaine and Luer whilst exiting to watch at times, they have obviously not been able to hack it at their previous clubs. I cannot see this club sustaining a fan base much bigger than 700. That's not going to please the new boss who I think will get itchy feet if the budget is not increased or the fanbase for that matter. He has mentioned our lack of support a few times already.

The only way to get people through the the gate as I have said many times you must have winning team at the moment that is just a dream Lee said he wanted to put a smile on the supporters faces at the moment in time it is more like tears

The way to get the public through the turnstiles is to win games and its somethink that doesnt happen often enough. Lets hope the Braintree result was a blip.
