I‘ll kick things off.. gutted not to have come away with at least a point after that performance. Lots of positives for Lee‘s first competitive game in charge though and we can take this to Tuesday to hopefully bag our first maximum haul.

Was hoping for a point because from the reports we were pretty decent, even Sky Sports and Bilaricay bottom manager Jamie O’Hara said they played against a very good Borough team. Was always going to be tough against a full time team but hopefully we can bag 3 points against TA.

A very good performance as a first game against a team which if believed has spent money on players with the goal of automatic promotion. Overall as a neutral you would be hard pressed to see the difference between the two sides. Our defence was compact and coped well with the long ball Midfield harried and closed down and tried to play on the front foot when ball at feet. The front two caused problems with movement and pace will get better the longer they play together Sharpness is the key as being in the heat of meaningful games are unlike psf

On a sidenote, Mark got a text from Lee, today wishing him luck for the season. Absolute, 100% CLASS!

A pity we could not hold on to get a draw. Too many teams of late allow themselves to be pushed back late on when defending a lead. I reckon they should forget the score and play normally, but it happens at all levels right up to the Premiership, easier said than done of course! Went to see the bright new dawn at United. They did not live up to expectations against a very young Lancing team who kept possession brilliantly. Utd spent most of the game huffing and puffing trying to get the ball. Sam Crabb was by far their best player and when he went of injured they fell apart. Worst player was Utd's wide right player who never tracked and back and never gave their right back any help. Found out later that he was the player-manager. Spent the last 5 minutes standing next to a very sweary young guy who passionate, but knew very little about football. Found out that he was the new Chairman!
