Was able to go to this so this is what I think :- 1st half be/Hill were up for it and both sides huffed and puffed but Boro were not accurate or impressive especially at tacking corners or free kicks and were only marginally better than be/Hill but let their right winger dribble in and square it for the 1-1. This highlights the conundrum that Kristian is great going forward but you look back over several games his defence is found out and the goals against come from that wing. I would have the back 3 with Ciaren on the left behind Kristian as the left man of a 5 man midfield with Toby on the right.
Second half we had Kane come on and sorry but much more influential than Westy and also Dean Cox who when he gets given the ball brings control and accuracy and delivers the passes and the crosses ( result 4 unanswered Goals for Boro) Elliot has to be one of the strikers and I can see how hard it is to get Greg Charlie and Dean satisfied. Yet if you do not have the delivery into the right areas result few goals! Wheeler not playing today and too early to judge Ferry.
Fingers crossed for the season but hope we do not get a beating at Money Bags Ricay.
COTB.

I was also there. I’ve watched the last three PSF’s and I have two thoughts. Greg Luer. Not too impressed really. He scored and took his goal well today but doesn’t do enough for me. Goes missing for long periods and we’re only playing non competitive games at present. I worry about his contribution when it matters. Tom Hadler. Sorry but he doesn’t inspire me with a lot of confidence. I think he dodgy on crosses into the box and his all round decision making i feel is quite worrying. Just, MY thoughts though.

I agree with the comment about Luer, he is highly rated, but as mentioned like Dean cox you have to find him otherwise he is a spectator, just doesn't work off the ball and as my old dad used to say 'when you are on the pitch you are more off the ball than on it. Mind you West was like that, all the ability in the world if allowed to play at his own pace. Can only say at present that this is not a 'play off' squad. More like mid-table.
