He's had a decent start so far too.
They won 6-0 on the opening day and narrowly lost last Saturday thanks to a penalty from ex-Boro loanee, Jack Jeffery. Hadn't heard any news of his whereabouts for years..
Currently P3 W2 L1 6 pts +7 goal difference
Wish Garry all the best and hopefully he'll have a good season over at Hastings.

GW has resigned from Hastings after missing out on the play-offs on the last day of the season. Mixed reactions at Hastings with many feeling they've underperformed but some unhappy with the proverbial revolving door. Good luck Garry on your next assignment.

The play off situation was complicated right at the last minute as one of the contenders, Corinthian Casuals, had three points docked for an ineligible player against Faversham, who then duly beat another p/o team, Hythe, while one of my local Ryman teams, Herne Bay, duly saw off Hastings.....

Yes, I noticed that. I do feel for Corinthian Casuals, though it was their own doing by fielding an ineligible player having the points docked right at the line must have been very hard to take. Not much rest from the league, play-offs tonight - it'll be interesting to see how our SSC Final opponents Worthing fare.

Ex-Boro player Gary Elphick among the scorers. In the other game Faversham have made the most of their late invite, winning 2-1 away to Dorking. John Scarborough, who played for us back in 2002, scored their first goal.

Rikki Banks as well for Worthing. Ah yes, apologies! Though by the sound of it he didn't really feature all too much. Reading the match report he was forced into a save or two, but it was mostly one way traffic. Worthing need to be wary though and not allow the manner of the victory to get to their heads.. Faversham sound like a team with a lot of fight, they also comfortably beat Hythe to get into the play-offs, so it could be a close one.

Worthing would do well to be wary of the Lilywhites, a team I have watched, on and off, for 40+ years, but mainly recently. Not quite a Phoenix club, but very close to it being after thrown out of the old Kent League a few years ago. There was a Salisbury-style gentleman from distant parts who promised the sun, moon, stars, etc. Not surprisingly he was a man of straw, and as we know from others, he wasn't the first, and won't be the last. They've recovered well, as we can see (and losing the Ryman cup final), and they serve a decent pint of Shepherd Neame as well.
