Still early days but we do sit comfortably at the top of the table, 10 points from 4 games, couldn't ask for much more!

I might be wrong but if Gavin nets again Would he be first boro hattrick man since AA at woking? Gavin MacCallum collected the ball to take the penalty when Pax Man decided that he was going to take the spot kick! Got the impression that Gavin was a bit miffed.

Think you're right their Trig! Question is, can you remember who scored the last Hattrick? Yeah! AA! Andy Atkin. I thought the last hattrick scored was Chris Shepherd last season, home game. Can't remember the away team. Good result today. St. Albans on Monday will be a tough one. Their current form is good.

After the last home game where his goal was tapped in for an offside im sure hes probably not too happy, could have 6 goals to his name!

I did say in original post i might be wrong (it happens from time to time hehe) Forgot about that farnborough game i must admit but i stand corrected, it was Shep last year..... www.ebfc.co.uk/s/match-centre-21890/1-868352

It is very early days but we just might have got something interesting here ,last season we probably would have got outmuscled but not anymore ,combine the attacking prowess lacking( for some seasons) ,the drive from midfield and the organisation from the back and we will win more than we lose this season ,I hope there was a video of McCallum's second goal ,simply sensational ,the power, placement and with so little backlift ,when have we had so many penalties ,3 in 4 games but these can only be achieved when we get bodies and the ball into the box ! Llloyd Foot looks another great signing ,assured in mid field with a ferocious free kick ,when he had to play at the back after Kinda John got injured looked equally assured ,all played their part in a very good first half ,tailed off in the second half, shame we conceded late on bit unlucky as Carey made an excellent stop to keep the initial shot out . For me ,the most exciting pairing up front will be Charles and Pacman ,speed plus muscle . Just a final thought ,the attendance was not announced but without our 60 or so,the ground would have looked even emptier ,be surprised if it more than 130 !

They said it was 250 but they could have been counting the caravans. Regarding the match it was won in the 1st half and it was just a containing job 2nd half plus took some off bearing in mind the game on Monday. Khinda's injury looked bad from a terrible challenge, lets hope it isn't too serious as he played well with Simps at the back

I doubt Kiran will make it for Monday: his ankle ligaments took quite a knock. The challenge was horrible, as were two or three others by Concord players, under the too-indulgent eye of a quite youthful referee. Concord committed their first foul after seven seconds, and went on to chalk up 19 more during the match.
The second half did tail way slightly, but the points had already been pretty much secured by half-time. The first half performance was outstanding, by the whole team. Gavin's first goal was excellent and his second was breathtaking.
One real positive in the past week or ten days is the step forward from the skeletal eleven at Wealdstone to the consolidation of a strong squad. Tommy had a very strong bench to call on, and Matt A (who was carrying a bit of a knock) was able to slot in for those final minutes, with the impressive Lloyd Foot slotting into the back three where Kiran had looked assured and intelligent - both of those players representing real captures for TW. Adam may also be fit for Monday, I think. So even if Kiran is briefly sidelined, there is more than adequate cover.

So did we play three at the back again?

Yes, Marc, three at the back and it worked a lot better than in that brief wobbly spell against WSM. Marvin is relishing the (various) tasks and challenges he is getting, and he looked mobile and confident playing between Sim and Kiran. I don't think the manager's mind is set on three at the back - he takes each game at a time and decides according to the players available, the opposition and the overall game plan. As we have seen, the players are adaptable enough to switch between either shape - even part-way through a game.
I wouldn't want to be an opposition scout assessing Borough at present - they have so much flexibility within the team that opponents cannot know what to expect. The Concord manager, interestingly, was sat behind me in the stand, with an open phone line to his coach in the technical area. And as the game kicked off he urgently instructed his coach "it looks like a four...". Oh no it didn't.....
