quite a barrel of laughs at www.rangersrumours.co.uk including this one:
"Heard some sensational news earlier which may or may not be true...make of it what you will.
If Rangers are liquidated, causing a 'newco' to be formed and are kicked out the SPL they will NOT apply to join the Scottish Football League. They have no interest and this will finish the club's association with Scottish Football.
This is seen as the perfect opportunity to join the English League. High level talks have already taken place between the administrators, interested buyers of the club and the relevant authorities from south of the border. The 'newco's first choice is obviously to join the Championship but this is likely to be rejected by member clubs and an introduction to League 2 is the more likely option.
With no European football this obviously isn't ideal but there would be none if demoted to Scottish Division 3 anyway so the move to League 2 is the far more attractive option. There will never be a better time or chance to do this so liquidation might just be the best thing that could happen to the club.
This is also seen as 2 fingers up to Celtic who will be left behind, stuck in the SPL and have insisted they do not need Rangers to survive and prosper. Good luck with that!"
Nah - drop 'em down a couple more, meaning Bishop's Stortford can get back to BSS. Oh, perhaps not - where might Portsmouth go? Or Darlington? Port Vale haven't paid their players, apparently
