I find it best to sign young unattached players and release/sell most of the current squad. Theres some good players there and some of them are dirt cheap.

It's weird they sometimes get play offs. Also I'm the editor so any improvements anyone thinks are needed let me know

this going to sound really sad and like i have no life but ive done 8seasons with boro on fm11 now. this is how my seasons have gone:
1- 19th place BSP 2- 13th place BSP 3- 15th place BSP 4- 7th place BSP 5- Play offs BSP + promotion 6- 17th L2 7- 18th L2 8- 14th L2
Records: - FA Cup - 4th Round - League Cup - 2nd Round - FA Trophy Winners - 2011 - Runners up - 2012
I find that getting a parent club asap helps a lot and get a couple of short term loans.

I've been playing Fm11 as Southampton, credit to you for doing so long at Boro, good steady progress you've made. Who have you had as a parent club? Might be tempted to give it a go.

I started unemployed and got the mansfield job! Took them up and then again into league 1 Then took the Barnsley job and got them into the championship! Try get Jamil Adam from Barnsley on loan, he scored 37 goals in league 2 and is now my top goal scorer in the Championship, quality player!

Thanks, yeah i had peterborough at first on a short term deal and then as i got to league 2 i got a new offer from burnley on a long term deal. You should try it, its a brilliant way to get reserve players on loan from higher leagues.

It's scary starting as unemployed - got approached by Marston Main (FM10) in one of the NE Counties divisions - and WE worry about our gates? Oh, and my record at PL: Played 39, Won 10, Drawn 10, Lost 19

Fm could have the ryman leagues but they will require more researchers and as players come and go between teams quite frequently not worth it.
Another note anyone see any improvements which need to be made?

That's brilliant! On an FM11 note I've just finished my first league at boro and finished 12th! However the finances are in the red and I've lost some key players as their contracts ran out and I've no money to offer them new ones. You can find good free transfer players but you inherit a fairly big squad and can't get rid of players that you don't need. I agree that Younghusband is a brilliant find! My top scorer! Bother - totally addicted to FM again!

I'll give them a go, if I can and report back!!

I started again on FM2010. Currently sitting 3rd in BSP after 19 games. Signed a loanee defender from southampton and a midfielder from pompey, played in the 4-3-1-2 formation, JT scoring goals for fun along side LEM.
