YES YES YES YES YES!!!!!!! Three points hard fought for and well deserved... though the lads all gave that extra bit tonight and despite some dogdy refereeing decisions ( yes i know, yet again) hung on in there and got what the team needed, a valuable boost and those most valuable points..... Great news too that Bognor wrapped up all the points at Maidenhead. Sutton and even Basingstoke must be getting worried with Boro up on 38 points now.... Well done the lads!!!

I know it's a relief, but horrible to see us scrap a win. What I mean is that there were no outlets from defence, no one running to receive balls played into space, therefore the ball came back at us.....problems in that we had no runners to attack Sutton. They played better football with a mobile attack. A win is a win, yeah!! But, we make it so tough for ourselves. Hoofing out of defence because of lack of outlets so the ball comes right back at us as our midfield then compress our defence and it's The Alamo......seige mode. Nick Greenwood must take responsibility for coaching the player's and instructing their strategy for taking the ball from defence to midfield and up to the forwards......WHERE WERE THE RUNNER'S Stressful................................

Tremendous result and deserved too - although it got a bit hairy at times we got the points and that will do for me Tommy. Thought the defence were a rock all night and Rambo & Loui worked their socks off, midfield gave 100% and got their tackles in but looked a little disjointed to me. Can't make my mind up as what result I want tonight - draw maybe?

Good result in a full blooded game.
The team seem fired up from the start and it was a relief to see a early goal go in the opponents end for a change. Pullen, Storey, Green, Rambo, Loui and in spells, Robinson were the pick of a good team performance for me. With Baker and Tucky as strong as usual. Yes, it was desperate at times and some last ditch tackling was called for but the defenders put their bodies in where it hurts. Where were the refs cards? Not a single caution all night.
As for tonight, I think a Newport win would be the best result, with Hayes poor form continuing. They’ve got Lewes, St Albans and a revitalised Baskingstoke next, so they might not get anything out of those matches. We could always hope for a mass brawl and both teams docked 10 points just to settle things.
Finally I thought the Sutton support was superb throughout the night.

i agree bit of a scrappy game, however we did show some sparkles of good football just couldnt finish them as usual.best players for me were pullen, rambo ,storey, lui most of the time,i did think anton had a lousy game and do we miss ben austin yes.we must play better sat against the tougher opposition. i do agree with alan some attacks we were very static no one running into space when we did we created some good chances. as for the ref well make your own minds up i usually defend them but not last nite

This is most probably a silly question but exactly what was our formation last night? Was it a back four Warner, Baker, Pullen, Tuck, Smart, Storey, Robinson, Green Loui, Rambo or wing backs Warner, Pullen, Baker, Tuck, Green Smart, Storey, Robinson Loui, Rambo

there was no outlet on the left Was I alone in thinking that Mark Green, the number 7 played a blinder down the left flank?

there was no outlet on the left Was I alone in thinking that Mark Green, the number 7 played a blinder down the left flank? ....................................tumbleweed.............................. more tumbleweed...................................................................... But seriously, he was full on and up for the game. I remember him chasing back to catch up with their attacker, then making one memorable lunge, which made me look at the Ref, who didn't go for his cards, thank goodness. I thought that Anton Robinson drifted away from left midfield, then again, maybe he was meant to roam. I think that it gave Mark Green more to look after, less support up front, that is.

The right result on a night we could never expect to see cultured football between two sides fighting for their lives.
To be perfectly honest Sutton may now be fighting with Hayes to stay up as both sides are really struggling with time running out.
I agree with the comments earlier that the Sutton supporters were some of the best seen at Priory Lane this season even though their their team are really struggling.
