Just wondered if there was any news about the massive rent hike that the council are looking to imply, what would happen to the club if / when they get there way? will the club stay?

This seems to have gone a bit quiet now. I imagine it is still on the cards, but I don't know. I think everyone in Eastbourne (I'm in Hastings, unfortunately) should write to their local councillor and ask them where they stand on the issue, and if they won't make a definate assurance to vote against any rent hike then guarantee that you'll vote against them at the next round of elections in May.
If enough people make this issue their main concern when voting in May, then a lot of councillors will be changing their minds as to how they will vote.
