Heard from a friend today that Neil Jenkins (Crawley) has been to pre-season training with the squad. I presume he will be signing at some point.

A left back I think. If he does sign we may be playing 5-3-2
Hook Austin, Pullen, Baker, Tucky, Jenkins Lovett, McArthur, Armstrong Tait, Ramsey
Subs from, Barton, Smart, Crabby, Newman, Hemsley, Atkin, Harding, Keehan
with Austin and Jenkins pushing up. I’d like to see Baker sweeping up as the spare man at the back with Pullen and Tucky winning the headers

Boro4eva Sorry can’t agree about Pullen being to old. I thought he was our best defender by a mile at the end of the season. As for Crabby, I’m a massive fan of his, I think he makes things happen when he’s running at people. It will be very interesting to see the team for the first league game.

Think that's the plan - increased places for competition.
It's a compliment to Austin, Crabb and Atkin - not to mention the clubs who produced them ;D - that they are still worthy of regular places in a team one level below the top tier of non-league football, considering the rise from the County League.
