Looking at the attendances on the link below ours has increased by 7% so far which is encouraging. especially with no big away following at the Lane this year. Lewes has dropped by 5.5%. Wonder if that will increase after the stand is finished? www.tonykempster.co.uk/confsatt.htm

Good to see that Maz and it usually increases as the season goes on especially when we play Lewes and if we are still in the hunt for the playoffs that could swell the number as well.

Just wondering if people are feeling the pinch a bit and not forking out to go to games. 3 examples are our gate Saturday, who would have thought it would have been lower after the Salisbury result? Only 1500 at Lewes for thier biggest game for years and only 2.500 for Weymouths cup game - a team who always get big gates.

were any of the other Eastbourne teams at home on saturday? I think we do get a number of floating supporters who will watch us if their usual eastbourne team don't have a game. Lewes is a small place with small fan base but the weymouth crowd does seem low.
do you reckon the gate may go up if we switched to friday night footie?

Attendences are the life-blood of any club, and if ours are going up it is good news. Anything that increases attendence is to be welcomed, group discounts, special bring-a-friend-for-a-quid matches, whatever.
Last year Millwall increased attendence by about 50% for a ew games by doing a special offer where season ticket holders and those buying a full-price adult ticket could get a second ticket for #1 (sorry, using a mates PC and the pound sign is bolloxed). Maybe we could do that for the last couple of games if we are still in the hunt for the play-offs, or for a couple of cup matches?
No way move games to Friday evening, I think attendences would be drastically cut if we did.

Another way could be an alliance with Eastbourne Speedway who get over 2-3,000 supporters every Saturday in April, May and August and September . Maybe they could have a reduced price if you go to both as I know of quite a few people who attend both . Also Speedway supporters might want to come to Boro but cant afford both. It has happened with me a few times. Running buses from the town is another . Charge them £9 when they get on so they dont just use it for a free ride to Langney.
