Hello,
I am a student at the University of Brighton based at the Chelsea School and am currently working on a project on Eastbourne's three football teams. I would really appreciate it if a few of you could help me out by answering the following questions on Borough and its relations with the other teams in the town.
Any responses would be welcome.
Thanks a lot,
Jim
------------------------
1). How long have you been supporting Eastbourne Borough?
2). Do you also support a national league team, e.g. Premiership, Championship, Leagues 1 or 2? If so, which one?
3). What do you think about a possible merger with the other two teams in the town?
4). Has this been tried before? How?
5). Why do you think there are three football teams in Eastbourne, excluding the smaller ones like Polgate Town?
6). Do you think your team receives enough media coverage in the local paper? Give reasons for your answer.
7). Following the front page of the Herald last week (27/10/06), what’s your opinion about Eastbourne Borough’s rent row with the council? (Their Nationwide South status is in doubt after the council threatened the club with a 400% rent increase.)
8). Would you be in favour of or against a possible merger with the other two teams in Eastbourne? In your opinion, what are the advantages and disadvantages of this idea?

Jim, it would take too long to answer all of your questions here but if you send me an email or PM me I will do my best to respond. I am a lecturer at the Uni so you can always use my Uni email address if you like. Alternatively I can chat to you over coffee when I'm next teaching at Hillbrow.
