I know there were not many there last Saturday but I am suprised no one has posted to discuss the way we played. Once again a poor uninspired performance lacking in innovation or creativity. OK Jenkins and Harding both gave 100% but the rest were very much also rans. So what's wrong? Why do we find it impossible to go forward in numbers, why, when we have the ball down the flanks (very rare!) do our midfield amble up with no urgency at all? We don't look like we want to score. I can only assume this is how they have been told to play and yet you can hear Wilson screaming at them to go forward. I find it baffling, has anyone got the answer?

I only saw the 2nd half but don't think much can be read into it. More of a training game. They never threatened once. People will say we should of gone on and got a hatful but we got an early goal and game over. EP would still be there now and wouldn't of scored. We were were fully in control and saw I no need to exert ourselves. Let's come back to this post after the Salisbury game and be pleased we are still in the SSC.

i agree with jk Boro were never threatened and not many of the players even broke sweat such was our domination of the game. Games do not have to be won 7 or 8 nil to have been a good result. Analyse it and their keeper had a very good game and made three or four first class saves would that have been better for you if we had battered the opposition by 8 or 9 goals? Boro did a professional job and the opposition came to frustrate and stuck 11 men behind the ball at every opportunity.
Well done lads

you could say the same about the week before , all over the opposition but let in a sucker punch in injury time. 1-0 isnt a professional job to me . 3-0 by half time and then canter. that is a professional job.

I must admit to being a little preoccupied on saturday chatting about this rent thingy, but from what I saw we are still toothless in the last third. County league with eleven behind the ball? Yes we dominated the game with some great football, but we should still be able to score more than one, lets face it our strikers need confidence, and this was the perfect game for target practice.

Job done. I can't see how anybody can say we lacked creativity or innovation when we created countless chances and dominated the game. The lack of goals from the strikers is a worry but don't see what we can do apart from let them play through it until the goals come again. At least they are working hard and contributing in other ways. At the end of the day we've played 16 games so far this season losing only 5 so we must be doing something right.
