Well here we are, 6 hours after a win and not one comment about it. I sat back waiting to see if any of the doom and gloomers would actually congratulate Danny and the team for a well deserved victory....
How silly of me to expect that.... In fact how dare the boys go and win!!! Imagine having nothing to moan over.....
From my point of view it was a good performance which showed this group still battle for the badge on their shirts....
One win doesn't define the season but I came away feeling good. Wonder if the nameless annons felt shortchanged being deprived of their usual after match gripes?

Vital win yesterday and we thoroughly deserved it aswel! I know at the end of the day it’s just a forum but the whole team deserve credit for the score line yesterday and the way they have bounced back after a few disappointing results recently, we all want the same thing and that is for the club to keep picking up points, so a bit of praise and credit where credit is due is only fair! Bring on New Year’s Day

A good win against the poorest NFLS team I have seen his season, but not to denigrate our players who played their hearts out and you have to wonder why they cannot play like this more often? Welling were one dimensional and over played the long balls down the middle which were gobbled up by Kinda-John and Gayle. They rarely exploited our weakness against crosses. Perhaps our goalkeeping coach standing in for Hadler had something to do with that. This guy is a born leader. Wills got MOM for doing what Wills does, but for me the real MOM was KJ with Campbell close behind. Only real negative for me was the last ten minutes where we failed to manage the game. A goal was coming, but fortunately it was too late when it did. Did anyone notice the referee in the pre-match warm up. Whilst his assistants were running up and down the touchline he was on the centre spot practising his hand signal. Went thru' the lot, never seen that before! He had a decent game tho'.

I have actually thought the last few home games have been good to watch. Chippenham, Salisbury Bath and Saturdays game have all been worth seeing with the team working its socks off, and playing some decent football at times and cannot understand why so many so called supporters are staying away at a time when the club needs them most. We all would like a successful team to follow, but to have that we need far bigger support than we have had over the last few seasons. Apart from the 350 or so loyal fans I have come to the conclusion, Eastbourne and the surrounding area are not interested enough to follow the only local club which has the facilities and who have made any effort over the years to climb to a higher level, which is a shame. I think there are some very strong sides in the NLS this season and it seems to get better year after year, and I think its so important to have a side in this league in the area. IF ever we are relegated, and I hope we are not, it will be down to the complete lack of interest from the population in the area.

I agree with that Doughty plus the club has only been at this level for about 20 years so their is only one generation of support unlike other teams. I still believe that a major factor is where the club is situated which is a shame plus having 4 teams in the town is rediculous but with all the building in the area and the facilities at the club things should improve in time.

Look around the other clubs you must win consistently to get good home gates what ever level you play at I remember when were getting 800+ when we were in the conference we had an average of 1300 the area has not changed only the club

Unfortunately now, as with other clubs, people would rather go to one premier league/ championship game every few months than going to a non-league team each week. There also isn’t a young core of fans coming through. They are happy to watch games on the TV. The Junior Reds scheme use to have a lot of members and originally were given a home shirt with their membership. Be difficult to start it again. Not saying it’s Boroughs fault, just how football is going unfortunately.
