Lee has made a difference, in February we were 16th now we are 27th. From the outside looking in, I’d say he has made a difference. Golfer your formula, relies on everyone else staying the same, rather than strengthening! Feel free to to shoot me down, but I’d say this years Wealdstone would compete with last years Torquay. Every year the division gets tougher, you have to improve just to stay the same. If you don’t, you do a Weston-S-M

I agree there has to to be a strengthening policy every season because as rightly pointed out the league gets stronger every season. Under TW we finished mid table or thereabouts. Recently we haven’t done that. As has been pointed out LB was given a decent budget probably the biggest of all time. A lot of last seasons players were signed on for this campaign and so far nothing has really changed.

Wealdstone are no where near torquay of last season torquay where on a different Spectrum under Gary johnson, Wealdstone manager has got them playing at there maximum with a few players that have had to re find them selfs again, he has signed a couple from the league below and most of the players are good conference South players.

Torquay went up, loaning players from Bristol City, Who happened to be managed by Gary Johnson’s son!
Dean Brennan is a quality manager at this level! I was dismissed from suggesting him when Jamie left!
Nick Arnold if he stays fit will be right back of the season!
A fit, confident , Ross Lafayette, anyone?
From what I’ve seen of Torquay against Sports last year, and Wealdstone against Dartford this year, I’d say this years Wealdstone are on a par if not better!
What are you basing your opinion on, Sussex?

We all know about the connection with Torquay and Bristol city They was ,full time looked like and played like a well oiled machine and had much better players as well nick is a good player but been out for 18 months going to take time to get back to himself Ross is a good player, but not in Jamie reeds class , as for dean what makes him good at this level ? It’s the First time he has ever been in this position let’s see if he can hold on to it, He has managed in this league for a number of years and never made the playoffs, did you know that ?so for me an ok manager for this level, but having a brilliant start to the season

Yes, I knew, Sussex and always had a decentish budget to work with!
But in my opinion, they’ll kick on this year and no-one will catch Wealdstone!

According to the local paper the money man dropped out in August so Sussex 2000 was right

As I understand it, the money man has gone (whoever he was). This may be the reason for Lee to look around. Or another club has heard and he has been tapped. Problem is we don't know what the original budget was do we? And if it has been revised (the sensible thing to do as our gates cannot support us on their own) do we know what it has been revised to. We know you delight in spreading rumours Sussex 2000, but these rumours have never been confirmed by the club management, or have they?

I don’t spread rumours there facts,we are over spending it’s as simple as that we need a cup run otherwise we are in trouble, and even then it will have to be one hell of a cup run, one of the reasons there is no money, the gates have not gone up, you can’t set budgets on thinking the crowds will go up,the team are doing poor so there will be no extra money coming in from there,we are always going to have an Average 500 people, unless we get it right on the pitch, and let’s face it we have not done that for years and that is not going to change no time soon,we all know if we was doing well the potential of the town is massive 1,000 plus crowds ]if we are flying we have been there, seen it,so nobody can say any different, but I am afraid people vote with there feet and I have said for years,it’s really as simple as that.there are still a few people in the club that are still shortsighted to that fact

It about time these short sighted people move on and let the club progress why they don't wantthe club to progress has baffled me for years as I said before they want to hold on th their little empire

The club aren’t likely to tell the supporters what the budget is, we can speculate whether it’s a good one , a top 10 or anything else. As Sussex points out results on the pitch have to be a lot better on the pitch. The budget we had at the start of the season by all accounts was pretty good, but we’ve kept a lot of last seasons players ie the ones that can’t defend and the ones who can’t score goals. There’s too many trousering good money and not giving anything in return. Plus the manager doesn’t come across as wanting to be there.

Sorry Sussex but to some extent that is rubbish -it is actually a never ending circle, if you cannot get gates in over 500, you have no money to strengthen the squad to bring in more - that which you expound is spend the money, improve the produce, bring in bigger crowds
It will never work unless somebody with a lot of money they don't want to see again ploughs in a wad or two - then look what happens when they don't want to anymore, Lewes, Whitehawk etc they are all out there but in lower divisions - we happen to have found our level and we need to accept (without a benefactor) we are and always will be a mid table at best National League South side.................reality
And if, as you say, a large portion of the budget has been withdrawn and we can't pay LB his agreed salary of course he is looking elsewhere, who wouldn't
Less condemning without knowing the full story please (that is not solely addressed to you Sussex but to all of us)
Sigh.....................

Les you are talking nonsense because lee was given a top 7 budget and look what he is doing with it,the players have been paid buts it’s a struggle, imagine if we were in the top five now,br]we may have been getting a few hundred fans more at an average of £10 a head could make a an imprint on the budget, like I said poor start, people saying same old borough 15th and below another season of doing nothing so they stay away, you will get the floating fans by playing good football, winning games, and challenging and we are doing none of the above so it’s a Recipe for disaster
Also I never said the budget has been withdrawn so I don’t know where you have got that from Les,it can’t be,as players are on contract at that amount of money they signed for

If that’s a top 7 budget I expect to see top 7 players especially as my season ticket increased along with others. The players sponsorship also increased so together with what the money man provided pre season we shouldn’t be where we are. Tomorrow’s match is pivotal to the season ahead, there’s a decent amount of prize money on offer so there should be plenty of incentive to process. We are well overdue a cup run hopefully it can start tomorrow.

Yes he did leave in August like I told you,but he left the club with 1/2 months money that’s what’s paid the wages in August

Sussex if have got this right. The money man pulled out at the start or 2 weeks into of the season .The budget had been set with promise of funding for the whole season The club now has a shortfall to makeup. The season has started slowly have lost 2 games badly not played to our potential drawn games which we could of won.We won today hopefully it breeds confidence for the players to perform.
