Great performance today overall. A little shakey for the first few minutes but settled well after the opening goal. Some great plays throughout the rest of the half and could have been more than 3 up by half time. 2nd half started the same but at 4-0 after the subs were made we seemed to lose our way a little. Last 20 minutes we seemed shakey and nervous again but managed to hold on. On the whole, good showing though, loads to build on.

Hopefully the club will continue to keep quiet about this sort of info. It would be rather stupid to help the opposition by letting them know which of our players will be fit.

Bang on the money, Frankie, what a great first post! Great result yesterday, and Elliot are starting to get amongst the goals👍

Sussex2000 mate - conspiuous by your abscence - do you only post when we lose............................................
Really enjoyable game - stood next to some H&are supporters who were convinced they were going to tear us a new one in the second half, hope Gayle's injury isn't bad as he adds height and power to the back line - especially as KKJ currently out
Other good news ...pies and chips with curry sauce !!!!!!

Dear Dargiles82
What is this obsession you seem to have with the health of our playing squad.
Are you a 1. Practicing Physician 2. Pysiotherapist 3. Chiropractor Or as I strongly suspect 4. "COLORECTAL SURGEON" !!!

Sorry guys but I have to say this - we lose to Braintree (heavily I know) and to Dulwich Hamlet - those posts are in excess of over 30 complaining or moaning
We beat a decent side 4-1, draw with another couple of good sides - barely anything posted - doesn't that say everything about this site, only happy when slagging off the team, If I was a player/mamngement reading the forum I think I would be a bit miffed and not bother reading it at all..............

There was a good article in the I newspaper about the financial problems that our system of having 4 pro. leagues and many top class semi pro leagues. Basically they are saying there are too many professional clubs and the same goes for semi- pro clubs for our population to sustain. We are the only country in the World who have more than three pro-leagues. It's food for thought, for me a huge problem with the Pyramid is that it enables clubs with small fanbases to get into pro-football. I understand the the Germans will not allow promotion from leagues lower than the second tier if it is felt that the population cannot sustain the club. In England I'm thinking Forest Green, Accrington, Morecambe and ex league clubs like Barnet, Southport, Barrow even newcomers Salford City. The main reason that Bury collapsed in that not enough people watched them. Lessons to be learnt I think. Too many clubs paying too many players!!

Another good away point and clean sheet against a team we probably would have lost to last season. Lack of goals is still worrying though, still to score away but hopefully this will be addressed

We beat a very average team in H&RB. I think that we expected to win, so there's not much to say really. We look a decent team and we may evolve into a potential play off team. If the non playing management say we have only an adequate budget compared to the promotion hopefuls then this would be an achievement. Do we want to go up? I have watched some of the Premier Div. games on TV and it's mostly thud and blunder.

Sorry Lesboro, but where di you get Welling being among promotion hopefuls. Their budget has been cut and they have lost a few players. I think they would want te same as us, a nice safe mid-table position. By the way, in my previous post re H&RB I did mean the Premier Div. of the NFL. This league is about size and physicality rather than technique! I watched EUA play Bexhill last Tuesday. Bexhill are very young and the smallest team I have ever seen at that level. They played some brilliant pass and move football, not like the more physical EUA, but I'm afraid that these days in the upper tiers of non-league footbal being big and nasty is all. Funny that as EFL2 teams do try and play football as do LG1 apparently. My mate from Colchester is a keen Ipswich supporter and he reckons there is more skill in that league than the Championship! Plus their gates have increased hugely. It goes to show it is not just about results. If you pay to watch then teams must provide entertainment!
