That’s right I do,we will only get told what the board want to tell us they will not tell us private stuff.you get on board like you say and support the team another defeat Like someone said we will not get the run around by lewes this year we’ll we just did,the money we are spending and we are delivering rubbish like that

Because friendly results mean everything.... today - Wolves beat Man City Lincoln beat Reading Cambridge Utd beat Hearts Altrincham beat Blackpool Bromley beat Crystal Palace Crewe beat Burnley Horsham beat Crawley
Pre season friendlies are all about game time, the chance to try out different formations, tactics, player positions and of course see some trialists. Boro rarely have a good pre season, a lot of experimentation is done and with the number of additions to the squad time will be needed for them to gel.

They do need time to gel,but if we won games you would say we have Geled Quickly,Lewes had a few players missing today and we played our 1st team probably only Elliot would have started,we have always had bad pre seasons, but that was with the old managers,I thought this is a new dawn so there should be no comparisons, and I am not convinced I don’t think we are good enough at the back we have kept the two full backs although I rate Tobi from last year that let in nearly 70 between them,I think we have got it wrong with the Center backs I don’t think we have got the Combinations right if front of them the spine is weak

Maybe Borough’s performance today wasn’t the greatest, but it’s more game time and as Colin says a chance for playing different formations. NW scored a great goal and their keeper made a couple of great saves. I’m sure Lee and Shaun will have learned a great deal from today. Hopefully the negative comments off the field don’t get through to the players on the field

Anyway my last post for the night it’s MY Opinion that I don’t think for the money we are spending on players we have value, will we do better than last year (yes) But that’s not hard as we just about stayed up, I don’t think the back 4 are good enough,to many similar players in the midfield And up front we have Elliott will he get us 25 goals?I am not so sure but I do rate him, As for Wheeler good crosser of the ball, but to who?no big man for him to cross to and Greg is a good player where do we play him?up top?as a winger?or a number 10?I am not so sure, that’s what Woking thought about him last year in and out of there team, but on his day a good player.just food for thought like I said it’s my opinion

Lee like you pointed out yesterday you are not even around the club as you have moved away you have not got the foggiest of ideas what’s going on 🤫 Well, that’s where you’re wrong. I watch the team often, I look at the website. I’m on this forum, either contributing or observing, oh and I got my bottom in the car this morning, drove the 100 miles down to the lane to hear what was said. Then was at the dripping pan watching the game before returning home. Why? Because I wanted to know what the guys had to say. Shame you couldn’t show your face! Some people give a monkeys!

It would be nice to hear some kind of report so those who were unable to go, like myself would be in the know. One question I would have asked is: why is our programme glossy, but not informative. As for last season's I stopped buying one as there was so little in it. Considering there are many community teams apart from our academy and you/23's, there could be lot more plus information on the playing and coaching staff would be nice. It's not a good buy. Have to say that pre-season results are a bit concerning. I know of course results are not that important in pre-season, but performances are! There are some good players signed, but there is no gel at the moment. Midfield and strikers have not been impressive! One last thing. Are Langney Wanderers still around, don't seem to have any friendlies arranged, no mention of them at the two home games either. Looked at the NLP and nothing in there either. NOTE also that the NLP says we are at home to Basingstoke this coming Tuesday. Wasn't that called off earlier?

Basingstoke game cancelled a while back . next saturday away to Burgess Hill i believe. As for the Lewes game first half we had two good free kicks which goaly saved well. we started first half with no KKJ Elliott or Torres . Awful back pass to Tom Hadler which he fumbled led to lewes scoring there second goal i believe .Lewes also hit the crossbar when trying to chip the keeper.Great Boro goal from distance by Nick Wheeler was a corker. usual second half team changes which didnt really work for us . Good atmospere as always at the pan just not the result we wanted. we move on.
