No chance cliff that’s why he has the job,if there was going to be the backing that was mentioned it would have been another manager, but all said there will be a better season than the last 2 for sure Very pleased a positive move im sure there will be a improvement next season as Kevin pointed out in his post the most important thing in all this is we all get behind our new manager and remember Eastbourne Borough football club are our main concern here's to Lee Bradbury and a successful time here at the lane and well done Sussex and your Crystal ball

Who do you actually suggest we appointed? Why would Steve king leave high flying welling for Eastbourne? Seems to me as you fee he is the only option, definitely not. Have some positivity for once

Guys we all have opinions and views and Sussex was right so hats off. Now we all need to view the future positively and hope the club honour whatever pledges have been made.

Thanks for the post Kevin, it's true of course that much work behind the scenes at non-league clubs are taken on by volunteers and their work is not always appreciated, but there is a lot of frustration from supporters about the lack of information given to supporters. Other clubs seem to be much closer to their support. For instance I rarely buy a programme as it is poor value for money, very little information about signings, leavings etc. Almost no info. regarding the youth teams such as results scorers etc. This is not hard to do, but we are always left with the feeling from the club that 'you are just supporter it's nothing to do with you'. On another note IS has been sorely missed, is he likely to be involved next season?

Just a thought on all those that criticise the club for the speed and detail of any club news. As a website manager for 2 bowls clubs, I know the time and effort that it takes to keep a site up to date. Webpages don't just self edit, they take dedication to produce. As has been stated on numerous occasions, virtually all things Boro are done by volunteers in their spare time. If you feel that YOU can add to the team by offering to help then please get in touch. Im sure that the programme editor would love help in collating youth team news for inclusion, and any other items that fans would like to read about BUT once again this is all time consuming. Rather than keep hiding behind pseudonyms, stand up, put your heads above the parapet get involved and help the club we all love.... If you think you know better, then stand up, be counted and HELP!!!!!!

As Lee Bradbury has been given a 2 year contract as manager of our club, and I think its a very good appointment IMO, and as SK is still at Welling, could we please not mention SK on this forum during Lee's time with us. As far as I am concerned whoever leaked the info to sussex2000, if he or she is a committee member they should resign if they cannot keep confidential information to themselves until its announced officially by the club.

Well forgive me but I could I mention SK one more time to ask a simple question? If as reported, and has been rumoured for more years than I care to remember that there are people at the club with influence that will make sure that he never gets a job at the Lane then why do we interview him?Well if what I’ve said is correct I think it’s morally obscene. In the meantime I will be buying my twenty first season ticket and supporting the manager and the lads.Ps my name is Marc Tomlinson

Wha I agree but I think this time around it’s simple,if the new owners got in lock stock and barrel (as in majority shareholders)it was going to be his job if he wanted it and if he wanted to leave welling after the playoffs but the new guys never got majority control of the club that’s why they have gone in a different Direction.and that is quite simply the FACTS

The only exception would be a family company, run by the family for the family, e.g. the local butcher. PS, and off topic, but it looks as if the entire remaining Ebbsfleet squad is up for grabs. All seven of them not out of contract.

Good luck to the new manager, lets hope some of the unsubstantiated and negative guesswork comes to a halt now.It may take time for players and manager to gell,so give it time before saying committee etc have got it wrong. If anyone has a problem with the way club is run, they could of course become a shareholder then they could raise questions at the AGM.Chris

IF SK applied (did he?) then surely the club were obliged to at least talk to him?

Welcome to the club, Lee! Lots of experience and success with Havant. They seemed to be a victim of their own success (double promotion) last season and from what I can gather many were sad to see him leave. Looking forward to see what he can bring to the club, already a few innovative ideas like relocating training sessions.
