Cracking game today, Truro are a tough nut to crack but with a bit of re jigging and clever use of the subs we fought back and saved a point. Shame that we gave away a penalty and bad luck with the defender slipping for the first goal. I would love their no 9 in our team, a real handful and a good finisher. We improved a bit on the corresponding game from last season so may be a bit of improvement. Good work from cox with the crosses and our second goal was absolutely sublime. Despite recent criticism I would say that JH showed that we do have a plan be and he should be applauded for it.

Certainly the game swung from end to end and we did look fragile at the back on occasions and both sides gave the ball away too easily, but overall it was an entertaining game. Agree second goal was class, lovely weighted forward pass, with a good dummy and a brilliant finish by West which was deserved as we were on top for the last 15 minutes. As for the goals conceded, it was unfortunate the defender lost his footing for the first, and it was a very clumsy challenge for the penalty. The new recruit at right back had a very good second half, looks to be a good signing.

I thought we started the game poorly, and played the long ball too much but when Martin came on it was like flicking a switch and we really started to play well.we also left ourselves vulnerable at the back a bit too much for my liking, which was fair enough when we were 2-1 down but once we'd equalised we let them have too many breaks one on one with the keeper but some brilliant last ditch defending saved us the point. All in All a very exciting finish.

Really enjoyable game yesterday although very typical of early season action. We rode our luck at times and looked very vulnerable at the back in places but I believe once match fitness kicks in and the games come thick and fast all areas will sharpen up. I was concerned at how many boro players slipped on the surface, considering they train on it and such, should be used to it. 512 in attendance, keep results and performances going like this and gates will increase.

I agree Colin rode our luck at times but a point is a point better than no none I can see us letting in a lot of goals this season we are weak at the back if it was not for Welling’s poor finishing and Truro’s today we would be sitting on a negative goal difference already we can’t put it down to our good play it would be down to other teams poor finishing, and that’s my concerned it’s just an observation

Ah - the glass is half empty again.........................hands up all those who would have bitten their right arms off to be in the top 10 after 3 games following on from pre-season
yes I thought so
I don't look through rose tinted glasses and yes we have some weaker parts of the team, but we need to be positive and, given what we were thinking 2 weeks ago, we are in a good place, we need to trust that JH can see where we need bolstering and let him get on with it - the players probably read this forum, lets big them up for a change
