Seems we didn't quite turn up yesterday. Maybe we've been spoilt the past couple of seasons with the fast starts, so one can hope this is just a blip. A tad disappointing to lose at home though to a team we usually fare well against. First loss to Maidenhead since 2012.

We did turn up but found a rather different Maidenhead team as of yore ,seems they have found some money and have appointed Alan Devonshire as Manager and he has brought with him many players he has had previously including ones from Braintree ,they had in addition done their homework in that they had two players shepharding Lok ,however if we are to persist with the long ball to Lok he needs proper support which he did not have yesterday ,Carey was awarded MOM but Kinder-John must have run him pretty close .We looked solid at the back have options in midfield but are likely to struggle upfront yet again ,onto Dartford who lost yesterday .

Certainly a disappointing start to the campaign. I quite agree that it looks as if we will struggle to get goals again this season, as yesterday, apart from the penalty we did not create or have a shot on target all game. Maidenhead carved out more chances and to be honest Carey saved us from a heavier defeat, they also had 2 good front men who worked well together, and that is what we are sadly missing on this showing.

We desperately need a Centre Forward, you cant rely on locky being on his own up front,I would have thought all the so called contacts that Widdrinton had he would have got one by now? Pinney not fit for purpose! we will get slaughtered if he keeps picking him,how on earth can a front target man play deep in midfeild
