Enjoyable game away last night in another of our pre season tests. stand out performances for me were craig stone and adam watts linking up very well onthe left and also our no10 a trialist who i believe is portuguese. Credit to elliot romain who never stopped running all night. back four looked pretty solid with simps watts kiran and collier. give lewes credit as i was told that they had not conceded in 6hrs of play. good vocal support from fans now onto facing a portsmouth 11 on thursday evening at the lane.

From the Lewes Forum.....................
Personally, I wouldn't play Borough in any future friendly games. They don't understand the meaning of the word. And did Widdrington do anything to calm his players down? No, he just stood there grinning.
Awwwww poor little mites..... Its a big boys game....

From the Lewes Forum..................... Personally, I wouldn't play Borough in any future friendly games. They don't understand the meaning of the word. And did Widdrington do anything to calm his players down? No, he just stood there grinning. Awwwww poor little mites..... Its a big boys game.... The game was played with a competitive spirit .It was not a dirty game. The Sports were slow out of the blocks and lewes showed early threat with neat passing game. The back 4 of the Sports were untroubled and in control. The midfield had strong showings across the board .The attacking phase grew as the game went on with the wide players started to link with the lone striker. The 2nd half was much the same as the Sports physical presence and experience gained the upper hand. Changes made throughout the half and goals scored in the last 15 mins won the day for the Sports in this Derby. A good result and a good idea of how the team is shaping up.There appears a set way the manager wants the team to play ball to feet and played at pace.If not able to occasionally play long and press. The key to the game yesterday was the mobility of the midfield to push on close down and recover.
