Beautiful weather for football, see you all down the lane at 3pm! Will be interesting to see how the team respond after Mondays game, I have full confidence in a positive performance and see no reason why we can't score 3 or 4 today. Let's have it! Up the borough!!

Well I was wrong, 2-0 down so far and haven't seen such an awful first half performance in a long time. Second half hasn't been much better

Are you sure the manager didn't get the Muppet of the Month? Why Oh Why does he think the side can play 3 across the back, all the midfield didn't know what their role was or what it is. When he came to his senses, eventually he change to a back 4 sadly the new centre back Kiran Kinda John was pushed out to right back,we missed Marvin Hamilton who pushes forward and creates chances which John apparently couldn't do. Totally disjointed, all the team eventually arguing among themselves. The sad point was Hemel Hempstead wasn't a good side! Sorry Widdrington you got it wrong

Shot ourselves in the foot again with 733 mainly home supporters in the ground!!! NO MORE 3 AT THE BACK please TW they are not comfortable with it.... first goal comes from right wing cross when exposed. Once Sam Beale is on no more threats from that flank!! Now chasing the game against a hard working well organised Hemel side who could play passing football and long ball when needed.
Where was our team spirit today... only once did their keeper have to make an easy diving save otherwise we were TOOTHLESS.
Midfield play from us was virtually non existent just hoofball to the front men who were well marshalled by HH.
Plan be) is required if we not to slide further when we have to play the big teams in this league.

I agree with the last two posters ,very poor today ,I don't expect to win all the time but a bit of passion and footballing ability is ! ,Hemel's keeper had any easy game ,not sure he had a single shot to save in 90 minutes and this is simply not good enough .The 3 at the back is not working ,our best player was left on the bench until half time . Our way of playing has been worked out ,MbCallum is basically left footed so make sure he is kept on his right ,in the 3 at the back system the wing backs are supposed to run back ,both today and Boreham this did not happen and led to goals against . We have a strong team but to day they did not look up to the task ,shame it had to happen in front of 733 !

Far from vintage performance.. lacked ideas and never really looked like scoring, going to have to improve on that if we're to make a play-off push this season.

It appeared to me that Tommy had second guessed hemel would play a high line in defence and instructed the players to play the ball over the back four for locky to run on to, the problem being that the passes werent accurate enough and hemel just retained possession because of this, also hemel had an excellent no 6 who was by far the best player on the pitch. Maybe a bit more width and more excursions down the left flank to put the ungamely right back (no 8) under pressure would have been of benefit but with our starting formation it was all a bit muddled. Lloyd foot does not seem to be at the same speed of thought as Aldred and sinclair looked to be carrying a knock. Hemel are not a great side but they are effective at what they do and I feel this is where we fall down, we play at pace with not as much control of the ball as we should and then the possession stats tell the tale of the game. Simpemba was incandescent with rage on more than one occasion, openly lambasting players for falling short. I reckon if hamilton had started it might have been a different story, his work rate is phenomenal and you could say the same about the injured walker. second half was better when we kept the ball but it wasnt to be. Mother said there would be days like this.

Unfortunately we did shoot ourselves in the foot by saving our worse performance for many months in front of our best crowd for quite a while.
Hemel Hempstead appeared to want to win a lot more than the Borough lads and I have difficulty remembering an occasion when we put more than two passes together.
Let's put these two results behind us and look positively that we can't play as badly again and will turn it around next week at Bath City. Plus of course the F A Cup beckons the week after and we are well overdue a good cup run.

I hate to be so cynical so i apologise in advance.
Really a shambolic performance today, and what a shame it was to play so poorly infront of a the second biggest crowd in the league today. We couldn't string together passes, we rarely won a ball in the air even though most of their players weren't incredibly tall. Midfield looked uninterested and ran out of ideas after the 3rd minute, 1st half we spent the whole time defending set pieces and overall a very weak Hemel side deserved to win on the day. Really didn't think Hemel were a good team at all and we really should be winning games like this. Referee had an atrocious start booking Lok after winning the ball? Terrible game, lets hope for a MUCH better performance against Bath in a weeks time.
On a lighter note, Beale & Simpemba both played well again.

Cannot argue with the final score as, right from the kick off Hemel closed our players down so quickly and gave them no time on the ball at all which our players had no answer for. The midfield was ineffective, and I found it hard to understand why Sam Beale did not start as Marvin was out suspended. Last season Johnno played as an attacking midfielder and did well, and I think he is far better in that position than as a wing back as yesterday he could not get involved enough. I assume TW was concerned about Lok possibly receiving another caution in the second half when he was substituted at half time, but he was the only frontman who showed any passion on the day. McCallum is not playing as well as, he was and Pacquet was totally ineffective all game and IMO should have been replaced first. The only players who came out with any credit on the day was Simpemba, Watts, Aldred and Beale. As previous posts have stated, an awful display from the team in front of the best attendance of the season, which is surely the numbers needed for the Club to progress. We ce.rtainly do not want to lose form and confidence with the FA Cup coming soon.
