Just read the Herald, I hope Kevin does not spend too much time driving round Surrey looking for Maidenhead.

I'd be extremely interested to know how the officials of Maidenhead United calculated the attendance at yesterday's game as 755. Members of the public could wander into the ground without have to enter via turnstiles so no actual head count took place so how could they even hazard a guess at the gate?

They counted the feet and divided by two..... simples!!!!!

It's a very good question. I did put exactly that to the Maidenhead secretary, and he also claimed that people had been counted through the turnstiles. Then he back-tracked a bit and said, well, the big new stand holds 550 and was well over half-full, we always get 250 on this nearside terrace, there were quite a few at the bottom end, etc etc. I smiled politely and wrote down what he told me - which was actually 815 and not 755. Hey ho. All good fun.
Was it true that some of them were shouting "we want our money back..." ?
