what was PIETERSEN DOING? Shocking shot..so well placed to go on for a big score. He's a good player, but not a great player. Great players wouldn't do that!! as for the day, usual case with England, players getting starts then not kicking on to big scores. Two quick wickets near the end losing Prior and Flintoff, then really what was the point in sending in James Anderson? A 'nightwatchman'..to protect a no.9?? still a pretty good 1st innings score tho, hope we get up to around 400 in the morning.

Lots of work needed to be done ahead of Lords, we were totally outplayed there's no doubting that. Aussies 650+ runs, 19 wickets, Eng 430 and only 6 wickets! Monty and Anderson were terrific in that final hour or so. Ricky Ponting slamming us about not playing in the spirit of the game, his side had plenty of time to get that final wicket, they didnt get it..hardly our fault. What wally. Freddie Flintoff doubtful for Lords tho

The Lord's wicket is usually true and favours the quickier bowlers. Team selection will be interesting.

If the weather stays good then an England win for me, we've a good record at Edgbaston. Ian Bell in for KP obviously, and I'd play Harmison ahead of Onions for the pace and bounce.
