4 of the Lewes shots were in the last 5 minutes ;D Do goal kicks count as shots on target then?? ;D Did they have and shots on target first ? ;D

1st half we were as bad as the weather!! Simply atrocious! Only one serious attempt on the Mansfield goal when Taity hit the post on 10 minutes. Have to hand to The Stags, the 2 guys up front fed off each other wonderfully, holding and supplying and getting behind our defence with their pace. As I previously said, Nathan looked a bit out of his depth. Gary and Nick obviously read the riot act at half time as we were a different kettle of fish after the break, and Nathan ran on to Hookys kick to get us back in it.. We then produced much better football , passing it along the ground... Taity had a great run into the box and tried to chip the keeper, but ball went just over. Bit dissapointed that the Ice Man only got 15 minutes or so, and I would have liked to have seen him brought on sooner. we salvaged some pride in the second half, and lay 12 th in the league still... Not all doom and gloom...

FOOT NOTE!! Just been reading a match report on stagsnet www.stagsnet.net/match/reports/viewreport.php?matchid=344&seasonid=9The first 45 minutes were excellent, Borough were the best side to come to Field Mill this season and for the first time the match was of the sort of quality we have been used to in the Football League. Quite a compliment!

Allan Tait has really upped his work rate etc over the past few games... It may sound odd but he seems to be performing to the level we are up against!! The better the opposition, the better his display. he ceratinly battled hard at Mansfield...

He certainly seems to be enjoying the game again. Lets hope he can keep it up. He has the skills and NC the speed, between them it should work. Hopefully it will improve as the seasom goes on. I cant see Sigs playing for a while. Anybody know how Andy is these days? With a bit of competition at the back maybe we shall see some improvment there as well. makes you wonder how much better semi pro players can get!

Sometimes the role AT plays is underestimated. I can understand the clamour for Nathan to play as he's fast and exciting to watch. However the ability to hold the ball up and relieve some of the pressure on the back four is crucial at this level. If the ball is cleared but continually coming back at us we will get punished. Tait works hard and holds the ball up reasonably well for a lad of his size. Nathan on the other hand seems to get caught offside too much and isn't the most effective when it comes to keeping the ball. More of an impact player at the moment IMO but he is young and still learning. I know Matt Crabb is often the first name on many people's teamsheets but not on mine at the moment. His ability to go past players at this level has diminished and I would not want to be the left back behind him thats for sure. Don't get me wrong watching both Crabbs on fire is fantastic but I'm not sure we'll see it too much this season.
